Cold, upright, dark. Everything else is a footnote — but the footnotes are where the exploded bottles live.

At four degrees a bottle will drift maybe a tenth of a percent in a month. At room temperature it can double its carbonation in a week. If a case has sat in a warm hallway, open the first bottle over a sink.
Fruit purees carry sugar the culture has not finished with, so flavoured bottles carbonate faster than the unflavoured originals. Put the classics at the back of the fridge and work through the fruit first.
